Rehabilitating for Life - Concluído

The Project "Rehabilitate for Life" is a Portugal Social Innovation | Partnerships for Impact project, co-financed by Portugal 2020, Grow Algarve 2020 and the Social Fund, having as Social Investors the Municipalities of Alcoutim, Castro Marim and Tavira.

For the success of the project also has the support of the following partners: NOS, Samsung, Rotary Club Tavira and University of the Algarve (UAlg).

Main goals:

- Promote active aging;

- Increase the well-being of the intervened seniors;

- Prevent and combat social isolation;

- Cognitively and physically stimulate seniors, using Immersive Virtual Reality Technology (i.e., Virtual Reality Glasses) and Non-Immersive Virtual Reality (i.e., WII, with balance platform and Tablet).

The "Rehabilitating for Life" project is scheduled to last 3 years and is being implemented in 3 municipalities: Tavira, Castro Marim and Alcoutim.
